Fitness Center Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead our fitness center team in New York, NY. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the fitness center, including operations, staffing, revenue, and marketing.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and direct all operations, staffing, revenue, and expense goals of the fitness center.
- Act as a direct liaison between our company and the client's supervising department.
- Implement and follow all company and client policies and procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service and respond to member/guest suggestions, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, including hiring, coaching, training, and evaluating staff.
- Ensure the staff provides gold-standard customer service and quality programming to the membership.
- Enhance staff retention by creating a motivating and engaging work environment with opportunities for professional development.
- Bachelor's degree with two to three years of management experience.
- Ability to multi-task, execute time management and problem-solving skills, organization, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to hire, coach, train, and develop staff.
- Thorough knowledge of financial reporting, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic business planning.
- Prior experience in corporate fitness settings and/or spa settings.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
- Competent with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and finance/payroll systems.
