Role Overview: The Assistant Store Operations Leader is responsible for overseeing customer service representatives and designated team members. This position entails managing the front end of the store while providing insights on the overall functioning of the Pharmacy and Retail Store.
Key Responsibilities:
- Store Management Support: Aids the Store Manager in the comprehensive management of the store to meet corporate objectives. Works in conjunction with the Store Manager on alternating schedules with minimal overlap and takes charge of all store operations in the Store Manager's absence.
- Team Leadership: Directly supervises and leads store personnel, including recruitment, hiring, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions to ensure an engaged and high-performing team.
- Customer Engagement: Actively interacts with customers and patients by welcoming them and providing assistance with products and services. Addresses customer grievances promptly and ensures a positive shopping experience by modeling exemplary customer service practices.
- Operational Oversight: Manages daily store operations, including task delegation, shift management, and scheduling to guarantee adequate team member coverage.
- Collaboration: Works with external partners to enhance the store's community presence and identifies opportunities for outreach in collaboration with the Pharmacy Operations Manager.
- Financial Management: Analyzes financial performance data independently and formulates action plans to support business goals. Utilizes key performance indicators to engage the team and drive store improvements.
- Training and Development: Responsible for the training and development of team members, fostering an environment that encourages career growth and accountability.
- Compliance: Ensures adherence to all company policies and regulations, including those related to the sale of regulated products.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree with a strong academic background is preferred, or a High School Diploma/GED with two years of supervisory experience. Strong leadership skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to professional ethics are essential.
Additional Requirements: Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, and be open to future promotional opportunities within the organization.
