Job Title: Registered Nurse, Medical Nursing Unit

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse, Medical Nursing Unit, is a key member of the healthcare team responsible for providing high-quality patient care and education to patients, families, and staff. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing practice, education, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement educational programs for patients, families, and staff to promote health literacy and improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and deliver patient-centered care.
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Stay current with regulatory requirements and industry developments to ensure compliance and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure in New York State.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical nursing unit.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pediatric nursing experience.
  • Experience with case management and utilization review.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
