We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Education Specialist to join our team at Albany Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and education, with a passion for developing and implementing educational programs that meet the needs of our nursing organization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff, including orientation and continuing education programs.
- Collaborate with nursing leaders to design and develop systems that support staff involvement in practice, research, education, and quality decisions.
- Provide leadership and direction to support high-performing staff through the development of educational activities that meet the needs of the nursing organization.
- Participate in the design, development, and implementation of orientation and continuing education programs for individuals and groups within the nursing organization.
- Evaluate educational outcomes and link them to quality process and patient care outcomes.
- Master's degree in nursing or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in nursing education or a related field.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read and analyze documents.
- Experience in the field of Clinical Social Work or Nursing with experience in Case Management, Utilization Review and Discharge Planning.
- Pediatric nursing experience.
- Experience in education program development and teaching.
