About the Position


The Senior Vice President of Research and Analysis will spearhead the development of Gartner's research initiatives, delivering insightful analysis to clients while bolstering the sales team in both new client acquisition and retention efforts.

This role focuses on providing foresight, predictions, and actionable recommendations in the domains of AI, Data Science, and Analytics.

Key responsibilities include writing, presenting, and advising organizations on market dynamics, vendor landscapes, service providers, governance, and best practices in business analytics.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive research and analysis in AI, Machine Learning, GenAI, Data Science, and Analytics.
  • Focus on critical topics relevant to Data and Analytics Leaders, including Best Practices, AI-Ready Data, Strategic Planning, Technologies, Market Trends, and Vendor Solutions.
  • Identify pivotal questions faced by Gartner clients and devise suitable research methodologies to address them.
  • Deliver in-depth analysis based on extensive client engagement, collaboration with fellow Gartner analysts, and personal expertise.
  • Stimulate client interest in Gartner's research offerings.
  • Lead a significant body of research and establish recognition in the industry as a subject matter authority.
  • Create and present high-value presentations and supplementary materials.
  • Support the Sales organization in selling and retaining clients on topics covered by the Analyst's team.
  • Provide timely and high-quality peer reviews of research outputs.
  • Mentor and support team members in their professional development.
  • Actively engage in or lead research community meetings to discuss research challenges and foster collaboration with peers.

Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of experience in the technology sector, with prior leadership roles in technology or business.
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or advanced professional qualifications in a relevant field; a PhD or Master's Degree is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate and simplify complex concepts.
  • Outstanding analytical capabilities, including the ability to apply conceptual frameworks, identify patterns, and substantiate conclusions.
  • Strong project management and planning skills.
  • Proven collaboration, influence, and leadership abilities.
