Job Title: Power Plant Control Room Operator

Veolia Environnement SA is seeking a skilled Power Plant Control Room Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our biomass power plant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain the power plant's steam generators and turbines to produce electricity for the grid.
  • Monitor and control the plant's systems, including the boiler, turbine, and cooling systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating equipment, and replacing worn-out parts.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth plant operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in power generation, preferably in a control room environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of steam generators, turbines, and other power plant equipment.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a certification to wear a full-face respirator.
