- Business Development: Cultivate relationships with new clients and establish connections with key decision-makers.
- Partnership Building: Foster and maintain effective long-term partnerships with customer leadership, ensuring a stable client base and insight into future needs and sales opportunities.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain files, records, and other documents generated during the sales and marketing processes for use in creating management reports.
- Performance Evaluation: Prepare a variety of routine and ad hoc reports for management to assess progress toward goals and identify areas for improvement.
- Market Analysis: Continuously evaluate external market trends and competitor activities, as well as internal manufacturing capabilities, to ensure alignment between sales strategies and market conditions; make necessary adjustments to plans and strategies.
- Representation: Participate in various industry, civic, and related events as a company representative to enhance customer partnerships, identify potential sales opportunities, and advocate for the organization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build effective relationships and collaborate closely with leaders from other functions, including Operations, Finance, Commercialization, Supply Chain, and Legal, to achieve sales objectives.
- Safety Responsibility: This role is responsible for understanding and implementing appropriate safety procedures through education, training, and adherence to safety policies, regulations, and standards.
- Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills:
Essential Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience in National Accounts.
- Solid understanding of customer relationship management.
- Strong financial acumen.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- High proficiency in written and verbal communication, organizational planning, teamwork, analytical reasoning, and adaptability.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with customers and all levels of management.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred.
- Work is typically conducted in a professional office environment with standard office equipment.
- Work conditions are standard for an office setting.
- This role requires over 30% domestic travel.
- Physical requirements may include lifting up to 15 pounds.
- Position may require frequent or infrequent bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, and standing/walking on concrete flooring.
- Physical ability to stand/walk for less than 4 hours may be required.
