We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician to assist in all aspects of the Optum mental health and specialty pharmacy, primarily by dispensing medical prescriptions and performing essential clerical tasks under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service to all patients and clinic staff.
  • Process prescription orders and prepare them for verification under the direct supervision of the registered pharmacist.
  • Manage the ordering, receiving, and storage of pharmacy supplies.
  • Handle wholesaler medication orders efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records by verifying medication stock and entering data into the computer system.
  • Collaborate with the pharmacist to ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations.
  • Perform various clerical tasks related to the pharmacy department.
  • Exhibit strong professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned.
  • Daily deliveries to facilities and the post office will be required one week per month (all within close proximity); all technicians will share this responsibility. Personal vehicles will be used, and mileage will be reimbursed (deliveries will not be made to residences).

Required Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Indiana.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Flu vaccination is mandatory.
  • Ability to make daily deliveries one week per month (using your own vehicle with mileage reimbursement).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
  • Experience in pharmacy and prescription data entry.
  • Immunization Certification.
