This position is responsible for the development, modification, and administration of clinical systems, including the Allscripts Touchworks suite of applications. The successful candidate will serve as a technical lead, project manager, and analyst, working closely with various teams to design, develop, and implement complex computer-based application software.

- Serve as a technical lead, project manager, and analyst for complex computer-based application software
- Work closely with various teams to design, develop, and implement clinical systems
- Assist in the resolution of high-complexity help desk issues
- Coordinate system installations, updates, and problem resolution
- Participate in change management processes at application and departmental levels
- Responsible for project management of upgrades, installations, and other system-related activities
- Monitor and document system performance, and recommend alternatives to existing system configurations
- Subject to call-back at all times, and must be available to support the organization and staff as necessary
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or other related field
- Eight or more years of applied technical experience in a clinical environment, particularly in areas such as nursing, radiology, laboratory, or electronic medical record systems
- Five or more years of experience in Information Technology, including project management, advanced support management, or other similar experience
- Relevant system experience in EMR systems is preferred
- Proficiency with computer systems, basic understanding of databases, knowledge of interfaces, networks, and hardware
- Programming skills are preferred
- Experience dealing with external vendors is required
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to consistently exercise sound judgment and initiative in stressful situations
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Advanced understanding of core clinical application functionality
- Broad understanding of clinical and/or business operations and how they relate to technical processes
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, both inside and outside of IT
- Demonstrated dedication to a positive attitude, strong customer service support
- Demonstrated ability to convey technical knowledge in both written and verbal formats
- Formal presentation skills are required
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment, with a high level of attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively. The successful candidate must be available to support the organization and staff as necessary, including evenings and weekends.
