Job Summary

The Industrial Mechanic Night Shift Specialist will be responsible for installing components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies on production lines and performing mechanical tasks related to production or repairs of products. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install purchased, assembled, and preassembled components.
  • Conduct installations according to general instructions and established standards.
  • Lift and move assemblies and components as needed.
  • Complete assigned tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain all associated production documentation accurately.
  • Examine work performed in assigned areas to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Participate in commissioning, operator training, and testing as required.
  • Assemble product components to maintain published schedules as directed.
  • Inspect products for proper fit and function.
  • Conduct installation inspections to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Display clear and concise instruction and communication skills.
  • Assist in organizing shop floor work and delegate tasks as needed.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to improving processes and reducing waste.
  • Proficient in precision layout and measurements as per drawings and revisions.
  • Work effectively under minimal supervision and with minimal guidance.
  • Practice safe work procedures at all times, leading by example.
  • Exhibit problem-solving, decision-making, job task planning, and organizational capabilities.
Requirements

This role requires individuals with previous work experience and strong technical skills. Key qualifications include:

  • Effective time management skills to coordinate department activities across multiple shifts.

  • Strong work ethic and adherence to safety procedures.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and demonstrate manual dexterity.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and commitment to ongoing training for success in the position.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and drawing specifications.
  • Able to operate and maintain general hand and air tools, including brake, shear, and grinding equipment.
  • Understanding of standard work procedures and ability to follow and give written instructions.
