Lead Respiratory Therapist Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our team at MUSC Health & Medical University of SC. As a Lead Respiratory Therapist, you will provide guidance, instruction, and encouragement to respiratory care staff, while overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Respiratory Therapy department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert clinical advice and support to respiratory care staff, promoting high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and education programs to maintain competencies and improve clinical practices.
- Collaborate with interdepartmental teams to facilitate optimal delivery of respiratory care services.
- Supervise pulmonary functions and maintain records for licensure and competencies.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinate shift duties and activities with healthcare team members.
- Perform respiratory therapy duties as directed, providing expert care to patients.
- Assist with oversight of education programs provided by Respiratory Therapy.
