Job Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Home Life, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in Residential Services. As a DSP, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live independently and build meaningful relationships in their community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist individuals with daily living activities to increase or maintain skills needed for independent living
  • Provide support with personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
  • Encourage and facilitate social interactions and community involvement
  • Document and report on individual progress and needs
  • Collaborate with the support team to ensure high-quality services

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to pass a background check and maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Human Development, Psychology, or related field
  • 1 year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Experience with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
