Job Overview:

Ryan Companies is seeking a detail-oriented, innovative, and collaborative Project Architect specializing in food-related projects.

The ideal candidate will possess approximately 4+ years of relevant experience, although those with unique professional backgrounds or evident potential for the role will also be considered. Ryan Companies employs a distinctive integrated delivery approach that encompasses architecture, engineering, construction, development, real estate management, and capital markets. This integrated methodology necessitates an individual who can work proactively and positively alongside local teams and across regions within a national design practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with clients, Project Architects, Design Project Managers, Designers, Development teams, Construction teams, and Consultants to produce documentation for coordination and construction.
  • Participate in and potentially lead design meetings, consultant discussions, and project team gatherings.
  • Independently address challenges and apply fundamental design principles.
  • Offer guidance on complex technical matters.
  • Conduct research and lead code review and regulatory approval processes.
  • Develop comprehensive and detailed design documents to achieve project objectives, milestones, and timelines.
  • Oversee and coordinate Ryan's Quality Assurance/Quality Control process and project specifications.
  • Effectively communicate any deviations in project scope.
  • Perform tasks with a high degree of collaboration and set a positive example for colleagues.
  • Contribute to the Ryan culture through active participation in office activities, initiatives, and learning programs.
  • Guide and mentor Designer and intern-level staff.
Qualifications:
  • A professional degree in Architecture; either a Bachelor or Master of Architecture.
  • Must hold a valid Architect license with relevant work experience and a solid understanding of Revit, building codes, documentation, and constructability. Experience in sanitary design and refrigeration design is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Bluebeam software.
  • LEED AP Certification and/or WELL AP Certification.

Compensation:

The annual salary range is $79,300 - $99,100. The salary may vary within this range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. The position may also be eligible for additional compensation, which may include commission and/or an incentive program.
