Position Overview:

The Floor Care Specialist is essential in executing specialized cleaning initiatives, with a primary focus on floor maintenance and care tasks, including pressure washing. This role aims to provide exceptional floor care services while adhering to the highest quality standards.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Ensure impeccable cleanliness across all hard and soft surfaces, performing tasks such as scrubbing, carpet extraction, and floor buffing.
  • Operate equipment and various floor care processes safely and efficiently.
  • Meticulously clean corners and edges in all work areas.
  • Maintain stairwells and elevators, ensuring tracks and cabs are in excellent condition.
  • Execute all physical responsibilities related to floor care in accordance with company policies and manufacturer instructions.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as needed.
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and functionality, promptly reporting any issues to the supervisor.
  • Safeguard keys, combinations, and equipment, ensuring the building is secured after work completion.
  • Develop and sustain positive relationships with patrons, addressing their concerns with professionalism.
  • Collaborate effectively with service contractors and suppliers associated with the organization.
  • Assist with additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
  • At least five (5) years of experience in floor care.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to team efforts.
  • Physically capable of performing the outlined tasks.
  • Ability to interact appropriately with customers and colleagues.
Physical Demands:

Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falls.

Stooping: Bending forward at the waist.Kneeling: Resting on knees.Crouching: Bending down with bent legs and spine.Reaching: Extending arms and hands.Standing: Remaining upright for extended periods.Walking: Moving on foot for task completion and transitions.
  • Capable of lifting and pushing up to 60 pounds.
  • Proficient in reading and writing in English.
Communication Skills:

Ability to listen and comprehend English information presented in person and over the phone.

Speaking Skills:

Ability to effectively convey information in English, both in person and over the phone.

Work Environment:
  • Indoor and outdoor settings, subject to varying weather conditions.
  • Exposure to various cleaning chemicals.
  • Operation of power equipment such as floor machines and buffers.
  • Flexible work schedules, including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
