Job Overview

Vertical Mechanical Group Inc is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional results in the HVAC and Plumbing industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing overall management and direction for mechanical installation and service projects, working closely with project executives, superintendents, foremen, and subcontractors to build out project needs and meet client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and direct mechanical installation and service projects from start to finish
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Develop and implement effective project management strategies to maximize employee performance and minimize construction claims
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, project stakeholders, and internal teams
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams as needed
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in Mechanical Construction projects
  • In-depth knowledge of various HVAC equipment and mechanical installation processes
  • Strong understanding of construction claims prevention and management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance
  • Familiarity with mechanical drawings and commercial construction projects
  • Foundational understanding of building systems
  • Basic proficiency in MS Word and MS
  • Able to understand and manage job deadlines
  • Basic knowledge of various electrical and control systems related to the Plumbing trade
