Cashier Assistant

Job Summary

The GIANT Company is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and respond to their inquiries in a friendly and professional manner
• Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the checkout area and surrounding areas
• Restock shelves and maintain inventory levels as needed
• Assist with special projects and tasks as directed by management

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
• Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask as needed
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends

Working Conditions

• Work in a retail store environment with frequent exposure to cash handling and customer interactions
• Stand for long periods of time and move around the store as needed
• Lift up to 50 pounds and bend, stoop, and reach as needed
