We are seeking a Placement Specialist to join our Property Casualty division. Ideal candidates excel in collaborative settings, possess strong interpersonal communication skills, and have a genuine enthusiasm for learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage daily tasks to effectively handle the placement of insurance for designated prospects.
  • Coordinate Opportunity Calls, document notes, and post updates.
  • Create service team documentation in the preferred format and upload to the designated system.
  • Generate 5500 Reports.
  • Develop applications from raw data, including current policies and information sourced online.
  • Prepare Broker of Record letters, NCCI requests, and Loss Run request letters.
  • Establish new prospects in the agency management system and input policy details for seamless transition to the Client Experience Team.
  • Compile submissions, including applications and supporting documents, along with any necessary Captive documents.
  • Request and oversee the completion of loss summaries and experience modification forecast reports.
  • Engage in team meetings and initiatives.
Additional Duties:
  • Provide Placement Consultants with a comprehensive list of required information, ensuring accuracy against sales team submissions.
  • Utilize Excel to create and manage schedules, including endorsements tailored to specific opportunities.
  • Complete the TM Checklist while executing all necessary steps for new prospect setup and handoff.
  • Attach blank premium comparisons to the designated system.
  • Order relevant underwriting reports as necessary.
  • Retrieve coverage forms from carrier websites.
  • Conduct research in response to internal inquiries as needed.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication and relationships with company underwriters and the client experience team to foster trust and facilitate business writing.
  • Assist in preparing coverage proposals and premium displays.
  • Carry out special projects and additional tasks as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Fundamental understanding of the Property and Casualty Insurance sector.
  • Basic knowledge of various insurance policy types, including but not limited to: General Liability, Property, Package, Umbrella, and Auto.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities; accuracy is essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; customer service orientation.
  • Experience with data entry; familiarity with agency management systems, Excel, and Word.
  • Proficient in inputting, updating, and creating proposals and diaries.
  • High organizational skills; capable of managing and prioritizing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Strong analytical skills, capable of performing both simple and complex mathematical computations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing educational opportunities to enhance knowledge of current insurance topics and relevant system improvements.
  • Desire to pursue relevant designations and/or continuing education as appropriate.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to execute instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to handle physical tasks as required.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with client privacy policies and relevant regulations.
