Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Calibration Supervisor to join our team at Sigma Design. As a key member of our Instrumentation Calibration department, you will be responsible for supervising the calibration, repair, and documentation of instrumentation equipment, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 certification requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the calibration, repair, and documentation of instrumentation equipment, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Provide expert guidance on instrument and sensor selection, data recording equipment, calibration, and 3D printing to internal stakeholders.
  • Support the Product Assurance department in special projects and requests, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
  • Develop and manage budgets for instrumentation equipment, maintenance, and outside calibration services.
  • Perform audits of instrument lab processes and checkout methods to ensure traceability and quality control.
  • Lead the development and implementation of instrumentation training plans for Test Operations and Product Validation teams.
  • Coordinate process improvement initiatives in the Instrument Lab to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Supervise and mentor lab technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a science-related field, such as Industrial Equipment or Automotive Systems.
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience in instrumentation calibration and management.
  • ASQ certification in CCT Instrumentation Calibration is highly desirable.
  • Specialized knowledge and skills in engineering analysis, testing procedures, and project management.
  • Experience in managing a team of 2-4 members, with a focus on quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a standard lab/production environment, with occasional travel required to other facilities, clients, or suppliers. The ability to stand and work for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, and work in environmental conditions that emulate typical user environments is essential.
