Job Summary and Qualifications
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinating all functions within the unit/department during the designated shift.

In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in alignment with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and exemplifies a commitment to the organization's vision, mission, and values to foster an exceptional patient experience and clinical outcomes that enhance overall departmental performance.


Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality, patient-centered care.

- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, collaborating with the management team.

- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to cultivate a teamwork environment that supports improved outcomes and service.

- Uphold a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.

- Support facility efforts to enhance engagement by implementing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly rounds.

- Provide recommendations regarding the interviewing, selection, and training of new staff.

- Recommend and implement actions related to training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions to ensure a competitive organization.

- Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.

- Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.


Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Florida Registered Nurse license in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If a compact license is held, an active FL RN license is required within 60 days of hire.

- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.

- American Heart Association BLS and ACLS required within 6 months of hire or transfer.

- Minimum of 1 year RN experience in an acute care setting preferred.

- Strong critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to read and comprehend written instructions; ability to follow verbal instructions; PC skills.
