We are currently seeking a Senior Care Associate to become a vital part of our exceptional team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with personal care and daily living activities as per their individual service plans.
  • Carry out assigned housekeeping duties following established protocols and standards.
  • Manage laundry responsibilities as designated.
  • Engage in 24 Hour Reports, shift change reports, and verbal updates as necessary.
  • Support residents in attending scheduled enrichment programs.
  • Encourage personal choices, independence, and address spiritual needs as required.
  • Provide verbal encouragement and emotional support to residents.
  • Prioritize tasks to ensure optimal service delivery as residents' requests and needs evolve.
  • Notify the Director of Health & Wellness regarding any changes in residents' needs.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments as residents' needs arise during shifts.
  • Respond promptly to resident calls for assistance.
  • Ensure compliance with new resident care requirements.
  • Maintain established infection control practices.
  • Report all incidents and accidents to a supervisor immediately, regardless of severity.
  • Uphold the confidentiality of residents' personal care information.
  • Respect residents' personal and property rights.
  • Be prepared for emergency situations, including disasters and fires.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide certification preferred but not mandatory.
  • Medication Assistance License/Certificate (if applicable) as per state regulations preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
  • Completion of all state and Experience SL Co. specified training programs is required.
  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions and correspondence; capable of writing basic correspondence.
  • Effective communication skills in one-on-one and small group settings with residents, families, and team members.
  • Ability to apply common sense in executing detailed written or verbal instructions and managing challenging situations.
  • Facilitate residents' transition from home to community through thoughtful engagement.
  • Strong communication skills with all levels of management, team members, residents, families, vendors, and external contacts.
  • Ability to make independent decisions.
  • Must communicate in a warm, friendly, and compassionate manner.
  • Passion for working with senior citizens.
  • Understanding of customer service principles and practices.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Maintain a neat and clean appearance in accordance with dress code.
  • Demonstrate a high level of service delivery, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing service failures effectively.
  • Ability to present information clearly and interpret complex information while listening attentively.
  • Build credibility and rapport through warm and helpful communication.
  • Collaborate effectively with a team to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Maintain confidentiality and foster an ethical work environment.
  • Adapt to changing demands and manage transitions effectively.
