Fiberglass Mold Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Fiberglass Mold Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations at Sea Hunter Boats. The successful candidate will possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude to maintain and repair all fiberglass molds used in the daily production of boats.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mold Cleaning: Prepare molds for repair, apply semi-permanent release agents or tape testing for condition of release.
  • Mold Inspection: Conduct regular inspections of fiberglass molds to determine when repairs are necessary and when release should be applied or mold should be completely stripped, buffed, and release reapplied.
  • Mold Repair: Perform mold repair following SOPs using the proper tools and materials and delivering a production-ready mold to manufacturing.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in marine technology, composites, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in fiberglass mold maintenance and repair or related field is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with fiberglass materials, mold maintenance tools, and repair techniques.
  • Maintain clean tools, equipment, and work environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
