About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced handyman and maintenance technician to join our team at Landmark Event Co. in Seattle, WA.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, maintenance, and repair, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the upkeep and functionality of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute skilled carpentry work, including construction, installation, repair, and maintenance of structures and fixtures.
  • Build and repair building frameworks, walls, floors, doors, and other wooden fixtures.
  • Install cabinets, shelving, molding, and other carpentry-based elements.
  • Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, and other materials with precision.
  • Maintain and repair existing wooden structures, furniture, and fixtures to uphold quality and safety standards.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as painting, drywall repair, and plastering.
  • Perform electrical repairs and installations, including replacing outlets, switches, and light fixtures; troubleshooting electrical systems; and ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.
  • Handle plumbing repairs and installations, such as fixing leaks, replacing faucets, unclogging drains, and installing new plumbing fixtures, ensuring adherence to plumbing codes and safety standards.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from various departments and address issues efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot problems and repair equipment as necessary to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and guidelines during all maintenance activities.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in skilled trades such as plumbing, carpentry, drywall, framing, plumbing, painting, stucco, plaster, and demolition, electrical work (at least 3-5 years) with a strong track record of successful project management.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents, blueprints, and drawings accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work on a consistent basis with extended and varied work hours based on business needs.
  • Available for a rotating on-call schedule.
  • Dependable mode of transportation.
  • A high level of mobility is required with the ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to work in weather permitting conditions and withstand loud volume or visual effects.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational school or apprenticeship program preferred.
