Quality Control Manager, Supply Chain

At Trader Joe's, we're on the hunt for a seasoned Quality Control Manager, Supply Chain to join our team. As a key player in our Distribution Center in Minooka, IL, you'll be responsible for ensuring our Supply Chain vendors meet our high standards and that our food safety compliance standards are met across the board.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify that Supply Chain vendors adhere to Trader Joe's Minimum Vendor Requirements.
  • Ensure food safety compliance standards are upheld by WCD QC teams at the warehouse and in other food handling operations.
  • Collaborate with the Product Integrity Committee (PIC) to ensure effective regulatory compliance and minimize exposure to the company.
  • Manage customer complaint systems and provide guidance and support to WCD QC teams in continuous improvement objectives.
  • Initiate corrective action when non-conformances occur and provide training as needed.
  • Work closely with other departments to drive results.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in quality control, food technology, food science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Warehouse Quality Control and food safety.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform root cause analysis.
  • Results-driven with a proven track record of motivating teams and driving results.
  • HACCP, PCQI, SQF practitioner certification(s) preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Flexibility with work schedule, including travel and weekend availability.
