Job Title: 3rd Shift Warehouse Supervisor

USCS is a leading provider of cold chain logistics and warehouse services. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced 3rd Shift Warehouse Supervisor to join our team.

Job Summary:

The 3rd Shift Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the efficient coordination and execution of workflow throughout the warehouse, ensuring safety, sanitation, cost controls, productivity, accuracy, team environment, and customer satisfaction align with facility goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership to the efficient coordination and execution of workflow throughout the warehouse.
  • Oversee inventory control functions and procedures, including cycle counts, product rotation and recall, training, customer claims and requests, and record keeping.
  • Participate in the hiring process of new warehouse employees.
  • Provide hands-on leadership to the ongoing development of assigned personnel and teams.
  • Develop good working relationships at all levels within the USCS team environment, leading and communicating as needed to maximize individual and team performance.
  • Act on the Assistant Superintendent/Superintendent's behalf when necessary.
  • Attend or conduct plant, customer, or training meetings when asked.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Perform any additional tasks delegated by Assistant Superintendent, Superintendent, Operations Manager, and/or General Manager.
  • Work with Management and Customer Service personnel to ensure all requirements and requests are responded to in the highest professional manner.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Warehouse supervision and operations experience, preferably in a food or temperature-controlled environment.
  • Radio frequency and other warehouse computer applications, including MS Office and Lotus Notes.
  • Detail and customer service oriented.
  • Planning, organizing, professional written and oral communication, problem-solving, decision-making, excellent mathematical skills.
  • Ability to consistently lead and influence others to take positive action.
  • Handle multiple high-priority tasks in a fast-paced team environment and requires the ability to work well independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Demands:
  • Bend and lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Lift up to 70lbs with assistance on an occasional basis.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
  • Be able to speak and hear for safety and productivity.
  • Use scanners, tablets, radio, phones, and other warehouse machinery.
  • Ability to lift overhead.
  • Ability to work overtime is an essential part of this position due to demand.
  • Drive a registered motor vehicle to satisfy daily requirements.
  • Have acceptable and/or correctable vision.
  • Work in an atmosphere range of +50 to -30 degrees F with a moderate noise level.
  • Personal interaction and communication required to and from other people is extremely high.
  • Good arithmetic and reading skills.
  • Understand and follow verbal instruction, written instruction, and company policies.
  • A self-starter that can work independently and coordinate with others.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage stress and productivity guidelines.
