We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team at Santa Cruz Metro. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, answering their queries, and resolving any issues they may have.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide information to customers regarding transit services, including routes, schedules, fares, and policies.
  • Transaction Processing: Process cash transactions, operate a cash register, and reconcile booth sales.
  • Specialized Scheduling: Create ride reservations for customers with disabilities, negotiate trip options, and calculate fares.
  • Public Relations: Participate in outreach and public relations activities, represent Santa Cruz Metro at events, and assist with designing and preparing public information materials.
  • Office Administration: Operate standard office equipment, utilize computer software, and maintain accurate records and documentation.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Two years of progressively responsible customer service experience in a call center or telephone sales environment.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in using computer software and standard office equipment.
  • Licenses and Certificates: Valid California Driver's License required at the time of appointment and throughout employment.
Working Conditions

The employee may work in a standard office, call center, or information booth environment where the noise level is usually moderate. May work in the field when needed.
