Position Overview:
This full-time role involves working a 37.5 hour week during daylight hours, specifically from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Tuesday through Saturday. As a Residential Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in our care by promoting independence and encouraging participation in daily activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, assisting them in daily living, social interactions, and recreational pursuits.
- Foster an environment that promotes independence and personal choice.
- Collaborate in the creation and execution of personalized support plans.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times.
- Encourage and facilitate engagement in various community and home activities.
- Administer medications following the completion of required training and certification.
- Assist with household tasks, including cooking and cleaning, as needed.
- Monitor individual behaviors and health changes, documenting observations accurately and reporting them as necessary.
