The Wild Thyme Company is seeking a skilled Culinary Event Coordinator to oversee the execution of our catering events. This role requires excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills to ensure seamless service delivery and high client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Event Setup and Breakdown: Lead the setup and breakdown of events, ensuring all aspects meet the banquet event order and client specifications.
  • Staff Management: Direct and delegate tasks to ensure efficient service delivery. Monitor staff presence, coordinate breaks, and manage performance.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as the liaison between clients and The Wild Thyme Company, ensuring all client requests are met and issues are resolved promptly.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization across service areas. Inspect setups for compliance with specified requirements.
  • Communication: Conduct pre-event meetings to review event details, assignments, and expectations with the team. Communicate any changes or additional requirements throughout the event.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all company policies and safety protocols are followed. Address any equipment issues or safety hazards immediately.
  • Feedback and Improvement: Provide post-event feedback on staff performance, participate in the training of new hires, and attend quarterly leadership meetings to propose improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Catering Event Lead or similar role in the events/catering industry.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams.
  • Knowledge of food service regulations and standards.
  • Physical ability to handle the setup, ongoing management, and breakdown of events, including lifting and moving heavy equipment.
  • Flexibility to work various schedules, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
