Job Title: Lead Diesel Mechanic

Amerit Fleet Solutions is seeking a skilled Lead Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Riverside, CA. As a Lead Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of light to heavy-duty fleet vehicles, trailers, and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on light to medium-duty vehicles
  • Conduct safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
  • Inspect and perform work on the underparts of vehicles
  • Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
  • Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehicles
  • Interact with clients through email or phone as necessary
Requirements:
  • At least 2-5 years of experience performing vehicle maintenance or an auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school
  • ASE certifications
  • Valid driver's license (Class C)
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if it is operating properly
