Job Overview

Complete Coach Works, a leading provider of transit repair solutions, is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Vehicle Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy Duty Vehicle Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and rebuilding transit buses and related equipment, according to manuals and factory specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with diesel-powered vehicles and equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Rebuild and overhaul transit buses and related equipment, including engines, transmissions, and axles
  • Assist with preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and annual DOT maintenance inspections
  • Enter work order data onto computer systems and maintain accurate records
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license required; willingness to obtain CDL while employed
  • Minimum of 4 years of mechanical experience, substituting 1 year of related technical training for a year of experience
  • Understand and carry out oral and written instructions
  • Experience with Detroit Diesel 6v92 & 50 series is a plus
  • Diagnostic experience is a plus
