Out Teach is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering elementary school teachers with the support and tools they need to inspire tomorrow's most fearless innovators. Our model, designed by teachers for teachers, delivers one-on-one professional learning and resources for teachers, while constructing outdoor learning labs for schools. This innovative approach enables every student, regardless of background or zip code, to experience the wonder of science and realize their potential to build the future.

The Opportunity

We are seeking experienced elementary and early childhood educators to provide training and coaching. The ideal candidate is an experienced elementary Science and STEM educator with expertise in facilitating instruction outdoors and coaching and training other educators. This position reports to the Director of Professional Learning and delivers high-quality products and services, both virtually and in-person, to our district and school partners. Instructional Coaches develop meaningful relationships with teachers and school administrators to provide training and job-embedded coaching. This role also involves developing lesson plans and other instructional tools to support coaching activities, as well as implementing elements of the organization's evaluation plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and facilitate Teacher Professional Learning and Instructional Coaching sessions
  • Write lesson plans and modules in multiple content areas using the 5E instructional model
  • Utilize the Out Teach online platform to share resources with school partners and provide schools with experiential learning expertise
  • Develop and cultivate relationships at the school level to ensure Learning Labs are embedded in each school's culture
  • Coordinate closely with Partnership Manager to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Implement elements of the organization's evaluation plan

  • Professional contact with external customers, vendors, colleagues, associates, supervisors, and staff at all levels of the organization
Education and Experience
  • A four-year college degree in a relevant field of study is preferred
  • At least five years of experience as an elementary classroom teacher, with three years facilitating outdoor experiential learning
  • Proven effectiveness coaching and training educators, virtually and in-person
  • Range of teaching experience across grade levels and content areas with expertise in science and experiential learning best practices
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365
