Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietary Supervisor/Manager to lead our Food Services Department at Wagner Heights Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food service and dietary operations, ensuring the highest quality of care and service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop, and implement food service programs and activities that meet the nutritional needs of our residents.
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality food preparation.
  • Collaborate with our Dietitian to ensure accurate and timely delivery of resident diets and nutritional needs.
  • Manage food services and activities in conjunction with other related departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all sanitation, safety, and procedural guidelines.
  • Participate in facility surveys and inspections, developing plans of correction as needed.
  • Develop and maintain written food services policies and procedures.
  • Inspect special diet trays to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Ensure timely and efficient meal service, including snacks.
  • Monitor and maintain kitchen areas and equipment to ensure cleanliness and operability.
  • Manage food storage rooms and utility/janitorial closets for regulatory compliance.
  • Provide reports on department status and dietary programs as requested.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of accredited course in dietetic training approved by the American Dietetic Association.
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certificate.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in kitchen, supervisory position, preferably in a hospital, nursing, or other related medical facility.
  • Proven experience managing a budget and controlling food costs.
  • Ability to lead by example and treat everyone at work kindly and professionally.
