About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Grants Specialist to join our team at the American Red Cross. As a key member of our fundraising department, you will play a critical role in establishing best-in-class donor cultivation, engagement, and stewardship resources and processes that retain and grow donor investment in our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and write grant proposals to secure funding from foundations, government agencies, and corporations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue through workplace giving campaigns and grant proposals.
  • Enhance relationships with foundations and government agencies to support funding needs.
  • Provide guidance and collaborate with leaders to develop and execute the strategy to build grantor relationships, streamline the grant process, and increase support.
  • Maintain grant proposals and reporting calendar, and personally responsible for researching and writing grant proposals and reports.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis and exploration to advise others regarding which foundations, agencies, or corporations would be suitable to approach for our funding needs.
  • Create donor stewardship reports and authors a variety of donor communications.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
  • Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency in use of Personal Computer, word-processing, spreadsheet applications, and database applications when applicable.
