Job Summary

FormFactor is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician I to join our team in Beaverton, OR. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling small probe products with precision and accuracy, meeting time and quality requirements. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble microelectronics components using epoxy and UV curing
  • Perform grinding operations to flat and coaxial cables to meet customer specifications
  • Assemble and test probe tips, including soldering small coaxial cables
  • Read and comprehend documentation, drawings, and bills of materials
  • Perform incoming and outgoing inspections of parts and coupons
  • Maintain accurate and complete paperwork requirements
  • Identify and communicate quality and production-related issues or bottlenecks to superiors
  • Participate in ongoing process improvements and collect, organize, and evaluate Statistical Process Control (SPC) data
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with small parts assembly
  • At least 2 years of production experience in microscope assembly
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating complex mechanical equipment, including soldering
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills
  • Working knowledge of mechanical assembly practices, such as gluing, UV, or heat curing
  • Ability to use a digital microscope (~75% of time spent during assigned shift)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to read, comprehend, and execute complex work instructions
  • Ability to use a variety of hand tools and calibration equipment
  • Ability to read and work from established drawings and follow instructions
  • Experience with PC and Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to work overtime as required
  • Ability to work and excel in a team environment
Work Environment
  • Must be able to sit and work on microscope operations for extended periods of time (~75%)
  • Able to perform detailed visual inspection and various tool-related operation tasks
  • Able to wear safety lab equipment, such as safety glasses and protective eye wear
  • Ability to learn and follow safety procedures
  • Able to lift, push, and pull up to 10-15lbs (boxes, carts, etc.)
  • Able to walk long distances (walking back and forth on the manufacturing floor)
  • Requires the ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements
  • Requires the ability to work with hazardous materials and chemicals and follow safety procedures
