We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Fire Paramedic to join our team at the City of West Jordan. As a Fire Paramedic, you will be responsible for responding to emergency calls, providing medical care, and participating in fire prevention programs.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to emergency calls and provide medical care to patients
- Participate in fire prevention programs and inspections
- Operate fire trucks and equipment
- Perform administrative tasks, including maintaining records and reports
- Assist in training and educating other firefighters
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Utah State Firefighter I & II Certifications
- Utah State Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations Certifications
- Utah State Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic Certification
- Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- American Heart Provider (CPR) certification
The Fire Paramedic will work in a fast-paced emergency environment, responding to calls and providing medical care to patients. The position requires the ability to work in a team environment, think critically, and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
The Fire Paramedic will also be required to work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, smoke, and noise. The position requires the ability to lift 125 pounds and to work in a confined space.
