Firefighter Paramedic

As a Fire Paramedic with the City of West Jordan, you will be responsible for responding to emergency calls, providing medical care, and fighting fires. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong sense of teamwork and a commitment to public service.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency calls, including fires, medical emergencies, and other incidents.
- Provide advanced life support care, including administering medications and performing procedures.
- Operate fire apparatus and equipment, including engines, trucks, and rescue vehicles.
- Participate in fire prevention and education programs, including inspections and public outreach.
- Collaborate with other emergency responders, including police and ambulance crews.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- EMT-P certification required.
- Firefighter I and II certification required within one year of hire.
- Valid Utah driver's license required.
Working Conditions
- Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent exposure to emergency situations.
- Work in a team environment with other firefighters and emergency responders.
- Work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Work in a physically demanding environment, including climbing stairs and ladders.
