Project Manager, Small Starts Projects

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of FTA Small Starts projects and FTA New Starts projects where TriMet is not the grantee. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction management, project oversight, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Manage, review, and coordinate efforts to meet Federal and Regional funding requirements
- Plan, design, permit, and construct completion for TriMet projects
- Supervise resident engineers and coordinate activities of consultants and TriMet staff
- Negotiate and collaborate with municipalities, businesses, utility companies, railroads, and other agencies and associations
- Ensure a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance through effective leadership, training, and role modeling
- Represent TriMet at interagency meetings and permit proceedings with local jurisdictions and Federal Transit Administration
- Manage development of budgets and schedules, monitor progress, and successfully manage project work to completion within budget and schedule
- Oversee packaging for bidding of construction specifications and documents developed by consultants and TriMet engineering staff
- Prepare technical reports, progress reports, special studies, and cost estimates as necessary to support project implementation director
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, Architecture
- A minimum of six (6) years of experience in construction management, project oversight, and team leadership
- Five (5) years of experience in a construction management role
- Three (3) years of experience in large scale public works projects/programs, including construction of public works projects
- Two (2) years lead or project management or staff management
- Registration from the State of Oregon as a Professional Engineer, Architect, Landscape Architect is desired
