About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Academic Technology Specialist to join our team at Coastal Carolina University. As a key member of our Office of Academic Technology, you will play a critical role in strategizing and executing marketing initiatives to raise awareness and promote the services, events, and advancements offered by our office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide instructional and technical support to faculty and students related to the Learning Management System (LMS) and other third-party tools.
  • Coordinate and lead faculty training workshops on academic technologies, while providing consultation to faculty members to design and develop engaging online courses.
  • Serve as the backup person to the digital learning systems administrator.
  • Develop and continuously update LibGuides, user guides, how-to documents, videos, and other training and support materials.
  • Strategize and execute marketing initiatives to raise awareness and promote the services, events, and advancements offered by our office.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in instructional design, instructional technology, educational technology, information management systems, computer technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in curriculum development to enhance the learning experience.
  • Strong customer service background and ability to collaborate with colleagues across administrative and faculty/staff levels in a team-oriented work environment.
