Position Overview

The
Weatherhead Scholars Program at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs at Harvard University is seeking applications for visiting scholars to become part of its annual cohort, which typically includes 20-25 members, consisting of postdoctoral fellows, visiting scholars, and practitioner fellows.

These one-year research roles are designed to support visiting faculty and are focused on advancing research in the social sciences concerning international, comparative, transnational, and global matters.

The program typically accommodates five to ten visiting scholars each academic year. This is a residential opportunity; participants are expected to be present on campus throughout the fellowship duration.

Visiting scholars will engage in the weekly Weatherhead Scholars Seminar and will have access to shared office facilities.

If desired, visiting scholars may audit courses and/or participate in research clusters and seminars across the university. They may also request an undergraduate research assistant. Currently, funding is not available.

Basic Qualifications

Eligible candidates must hold full-time permanent positions and possess a PhD in fields such as economics, sociology, anthropology, history, international affairs, conflict analysis and resolution, psychology, public policy, political science, environmental science, or related disciplines.

The fellowship duration is one academic year.
