We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Nuclear Radiological Engineer to support our nuclear design engineering efforts for Small Modular Reactor (SMR), Advanced Reactor (AR), and medical isotope facility design projects. As a key member of our team, you will work on the next generation of smaller-scale, modular nuclear power plants and nuclear technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and engineering of upgrades and modifications to existing nuclear power plants
  • Radiological dose calculations, shielding design calculations, and radiation source term calculations
  • Design of radiation monitoring systems
  • Work on both domestic and international nuclear power plant projects
  • Travel to client offices and nuclear plant site locations to attend project progress meetings
  • Address emergent issues and provide technical support to our nuclear clients

Requirements:

  • BS in Nuclear Engineering from an ABET-accredited program; MS degree preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years of nuclear / radiological experience in the nuclear power industry
  • Experience with some or all of the following nuclear computer programs: RADTRAD, SCALE (ORIGEN), MCNP, MicroShield, ARCON96, NRCDOSE (GASPAR, LADTAP, XOQDOQ), PAVAN, GALE, WebTRAGIS / RADTRAN, MACCS
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • PE license desired, but not required
