Job Responsibilities

  • Design fire alarm, fire detection, and fire suppression systems through expert design and installation techniques.
  • Review, develop, and commission smoke control systems through thorough testing and validation.
  • Perform site visits and communicate with authorities having jurisdiction, architects, contractors, and consulting teams through effective communication and project coordination.
  • Participate in and lead internal team meetings and external client meetings through strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Present design approaches with authorities having jurisdiction through clear and concise communication and expert presentation skills.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams across multiple offices in a multi-discipline environment through effective teamwork and project coordination.
  • Manage profitability of projects and maintain working relationships with clients through strong business acumen and customer service skills.
  • Perform research and documentation for internal and external distribution through thorough research and expert analysis.
  • Attend and participate in local and national trade organizations through professional development and industry networking.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Engineering from an accredited college or university in Fire Protection Engineering, Fire Sciences, or related engineering field.
  • A minimum of 6 years of professional working experience in Fire Protection.
  • A minimum of 2 years managing projects.
  • A P.E. license in Fire Protection Engineering or in the process of achieving this professional credential.
  • Strong communication skills essential for a team-based and team-leading working environment.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills required for our fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of relevant software, including FDS, CONTAM, egress modeling software, AutoCAD, Revit, BlueBeam, and the Microsoft Office suite of software.
