- Develop fire models, smoke control models/analysis, and pressurization models/analysis through advanced software and simulation techniques.
- Review and provide consulting for life safety, building, and fire code compliance through thorough inspections and code enforcement.
- Perform structural fire calculations through advanced mathematical modeling and analysis.
- Develop fire safety strategies for special hazards through risk assessment and mitigation techniques.
- Deliver prescriptive and performance-based design strategies through innovative design solutions and expert analysis.
- Design fire alarm, fire detection, and fire suppression systems through expert design and installation techniques.
- Review, develop, and commission smoke control systems through thorough testing and validation.
- Perform site visits and communicate with authorities having jurisdiction, architects, contractors, and consulting teams through effective communication and project coordination.
- Participate in and lead internal team meetings and external client meetings through strong leadership and project management skills.
- Present design approaches with authorities having jurisdiction through clear and concise communication and expert presentation skills.
- Collaborate with multiple teams across multiple offices in a multi-discipline environment through effective teamwork and project coordination.
- Manage profitability of projects and maintain working relationships with clients through strong business acumen and customer service skills.
- Perform research and documentation for internal and external distribution through thorough research and expert analysis.
- Attend and participate in local and national trade organizations through professional development and industry networking.
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Engineering from an accredited college or university in Fire Protection Engineering, Fire Sciences, or related engineering field.
- A minimum of 6 years of professional working experience in Fire Protection.
- A minimum of 2 years managing projects.
- A P.E. license in Fire Protection Engineering or in the process of achieving this professional credential.
- Strong communication skills essential for a team-based and team-leading working environment.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills required for our fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of relevant software, including FDS, CONTAM, egress modeling software, AutoCAD, Revit, BlueBeam, and the Microsoft Office suite of software.
- Competitive salary range: $100,000-$140,000 annually.
