Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Assistant to provide administrative and technical support to an ophthalmologist in a clinical setting. The successful candidate will maintain patient records, schedule appointments, and assist with clinical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in IDX
  • Schedule appointments and verify patient information
  • Assist with clinical procedures, including visual acuity testing and contact lens insertion/removal
  • Maintain examination rooms and supplies
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as answering phones and preparing charts
Working Conditions

This is a normal office environment with typical sitting at a desk or table. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced clinical setting and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • 2 years of experience in a medical office setting
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Medical terminology knowledge
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to work in a team environment
