We are looking for dedicated and skilled Event Service Specialists to join our esteemed team at Ashland Hills Hotel. Our goal is to deliver outstanding customer experiences at a variety of events and gatherings. Position Overview: This is a part-time role with an hourly compensation structure.

Primary Duties:

  • Examine Banquet Event Orders to familiarize yourself with the schedule of daily functions.
  • Prepare banquet spaces for the assigned events.
  • Provide consistently professional, engaging, and warm service throughout all event phases.
  • Set up, deliver, and manage refreshment stations effectively.
  • Ensure adequate levels of food and beverage supplies are maintained.
  • Execute all opening and closing tasks, including sidework and cleaning responsibilities.
  • Set up and dismantle buffets and other specialized food service tables and equipment.
  • Confirm that all doors and equipment are securely locked, all items are turned off and stored properly, and keys are returned post-events.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of basic bar terminology and wine service.
  • Report any equipment needing repair or unsafe conditions to the appropriate personnel.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Six months to one year of relevant experience in food service or hospitality.
  • Possession of a current food handler card and liquor service permit.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Effective communication abilities.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
