Job Title: Wine Garden Server

Reports to: Resort Manager

Summary of Position:

This position is Part-Time. As Tasting Room Server at Lithia Springs Resort and Wine Garden, the primary responsibilities will be to gain a high level of knowledge of the wines being offered, an understanding and connection to our story and the story of the wineries represented and to offer exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will enhance personalized service and genuine hospitality.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership which empowers and develops team members to deliver exceptional guest service.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all guests feel welcome, and their needs are exceeded including quality of service, handling of complaints, financial transactions, etc.
  • Responsible for helping with continued growth of revenues and profits including cost management and innovation of operation.
  • Creates and maintains the wine lists and flights to be accurate, up to date and free of errors with direction from Director of Food & Beverage.
  • Responsible for wine ordering, pricing, monthly inventory and cost management with support from Director of Food & Beverage.
  • Responsible for properly opening and closing of the Tasting Room.
  • Prepares Cheese & Charcuterie Boards as needed.
  • Builds company image by collaborating with customers and employees; enforce ethical business practices.
  • Understand and comply with all federal, state, county and local regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the Tasting Room, employees and guests.
  • Perform other duties as required by the Director of Food and Beverage

Qualifications:

  • Hospitality focused preferred or equivalent experience
  • Certified Sommelier or equivalent experience in wine service and standards
  • Previous experience with cost controls and inventory management a plus
  • Ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to create a positive team dynamic with fellow managers and staff
  • Food handler’s permit and OLCC permit or ability to obtain them
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends, holidays and overtime
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational & time management skills
  • Must have a passion for hospitality
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time and bend, kneel, squat and reach occasionally throughout a shift
  • Bartending & merchandising experience a plus
