Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dining Room Server Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our service operations, you will be responsible for ensuring our guests enjoy a seamless and delightful experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain the wait staff station for efficient service, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available.
  • Prepare and serve bread, water, and butter as needed, maintaining a high level of quality and presentation.
  • Bus tables promptly to ensure a clean dining environment, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Assist with dishwashing area cleanliness and organization, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for our staff and guests.
  • Set and reset tables and adjust dining layouts as required, ensuring that all tables are set and ready for service.
  • Attend pre-service meetings and training sessions, staying up-to-date on our menu, services, and policies.
  • Address members by name for a personalized experience, building strong relationships with our guests.
  • Adhere to service guidelines and safety policies, maintaining a safe and secure environment for our staff and guests.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and confidentiality, upholding the high standards of The Argyle.
  • Assist with cocktail service, food running, and other duties as needed, being flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Experience as a server assistant is preferred, but not required.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading and communicating in English, ensuring clear and effective communication with our guests and staff.
  • Ability to take direction and work in a team environment, being a collaborative and supportive member of our team.
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure, maintaining a high level of performance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem solver, self-motivated, and organized, being proactive and efficient in your work.
  • Have current Food Handler Certification or able to obtain, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Have current TABC Certification or able to obtain, ensuring compliance with liquor laws and regulations.
  • Ability to lift and transport packages, cases, or objects of up to 50 lbs, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
