The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Junior Level Cook to join our team at Southland Casino in West Memphis, Arkansas. As a Junior Level Cook, you will play a key role in preparing food, operating kitchen equipment, and upholding health codes and sanitation regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare food to meet quality standards, portion sizes, and department rules
  • Keep workstations, coolers, and equipment clean and organized
  • Perform opening, closing, and side work duties, and end-of-day inventory
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of previous experience in a back-of-the-house food-service position
  • Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets and recipes
  • Basic math skills, with the ability to calculate and follow recipe measurements
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more, reach up to seven feet, bend, and squat
  • Standing and walking for the entire length of shift in moderate to high noise levels
