About the Role

As a Technical Lead on our Health Technology team at WEX, you will be responsible for leading a small, high-performing team of engineers in the development of cloud-based solutions. Your primary focus will be on designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient software systems that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate actively in SCRUM ceremonies, including stand-ups, refinements, and requirements discussions
  • Translate written or verbal requirements into well-organized coded solutions
  • Collaborate with QA engineers, developers, users, stakeholders, product owners, and architects
  • Participate in planning and design activities, developing proofs of concept, and enforcing architectural design
  • Manage, mentor, and coach developers to ensure adherence to standards and efficient code

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering field
  • 5+ years of development experience, with 2+ years of project-level design experience
  • Demonstrable working understanding of modern software development principles, including design patterns and OOP best practices
  • Fluent in C# and comfortable with T-SQL, with adaptability to other languages
  • Ability to debug others' code, especially in C#, T-SQL, and JavaScript
