Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer the Power BI environment, focusing on user management, workspace oversight, and data gateway administration.
  • Manage Power BI Premium features, including capacity monitoring and workload optimization.
  • Oversee the on-premise gateway server, ensuring it is up-to-date and effectively supports custom connectors.
  • Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues related to the data gateway.
  • Assist in optimizing report performance through tools such as Tabular Editor and DAX Studio.
  • Collaborate with data owners and report developers to fulfill their reporting requirements.
  • Enhance the Power BI Service by creating and deploying workspaces, data models, and dashboards.
  • Utilize the Power BI admin portal to configure tenant settings and organizational visuals.
  • Employ PowerShell and REST APIs for metadata retrieval, data refresh management, and usage analytics.
  • Manage Power BI licensing, subscriptions, and audit logs.
  • Set up data gateways to facilitate access to various data sources across the organization.

Qualifications:
  • A degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Data, Business Intelligence, and Reporting.
  • Minimum of 3 years in Power BI Service, On-Premise Data Gateway, and Report Server Administration.
  • Experience with compliance, auditing, data privacy, and security in Power BI.
  • Strong skills in business analysis and requirements gathering.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently in a self-directed environment.
  • Desirable: Familiarity with CMD and PowerShell scripting for automation, strong analytical skills, and experience with Azure AD and O365 administration.
