Position Overview
AECOM is looking for a skilled Roadway Discipline Lead to contribute to our dynamic projects in the Pacific Northwest.
As the discipline lead engineer on large-scale projects, you will:
- Guide and mentor a dedicated team.
- Authorize and validate project deliverables.
- Provide expert technical guidance for studies and design initiatives.
- Communicate complex technical solutions effectively to clients.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of work produced by team members.
- Lead task force meetings focused on roadway discipline.
- Prepare estimates for engineering budgets and timelines for major projects.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 8 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington State or the ability to obtain it within six months.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a Roadway Discipline Lead on Design-Build projects.
- Proficient in developing design packages for highway and roadway improvement projects in Washington State, with experience working with WSDOT.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a large team in a fast-paced environment.
- At least 12 years of progressive technical experience showcasing leadership and responsibility.
- Skilled in Microstation and InRoads software.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with WSDOT Design Build projects is preferred.
Additional Information
Local candidates are highly preferred. This position requires in-office/project office collaboration.
