Job Summary

The University of California, Merced is seeking a Lecturer in Natural Sciences to teach various subjects in the Biological Sciences department for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in Biology, including Biology Today, Cancer Genetics and Tumor Biology, and other related subjects.
  • Evaluate student work and exams, calculate and post grades, and hold regular office hours.
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students.
  • Collaborate with department faculty to ensure a high-quality educational experience.
Qualifications

Advanced degree in Biology or a related field and experience teaching at the college or university level is required.

Additional Information

This is a limited-term appointment that falls under the purview of the agreement for the Lecturers Unit between the University of California and the American Federation of Teachers.

Appointments are reviewed in April for the 2024-2025 academic year and in October for the Spring 2025 semester.
