Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Graphic Designer to create high-quality artwork for our screen printing production environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in graphic design, with experience in separating artwork into individual screens, mesh counts, plastisol inks, hit orders, and squeegee types.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and create artwork for screen printing production, including vector and raster artwork separations.
  • Produce photo-realistic separations, including half-tone blending.
  • Generate print-specification documentation for samples and R&D separations, detailing color callouts, hit order, flashes, meshes, art placement, garment styles, and colors.
  • Regularly update sample print specification documentation and separations as required.
  • Review production print-specification documentation and separations when feasible based on sample workload.
  • Collaborate with the Sampling Department and engage in research & development (R&D) activities.
  • Record successes and setbacks for each separated job.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in spot channel separation / simulated process separation for apparel graphics.
  • In-depth knowledge of separating artwork into individual screens, mesh counts, plastisol inks, hit orders, and squeegee types.
  • Expertise in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator CS.
  • Familiarity with automatic and manual screen print presses.
  • Preferably, hands-on experience with screen printing.
  • Experience with Spot Process, Separation Studio, or similar separation software and technology is advantageous.
  • Ability to uphold work quality and productivity in a fast-paced, highly efficient environment with tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, technical documentation abilities, and organizational skills.
  • Team player with a strong work ethic, capable of mentoring others and open to learning.
  • Aptitude for spontaneous problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in a Mac/Apple based environment.
